JEE Overview

The JEE is conducted in two stages: JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced).

• JEE (Main) is the first step, allowing admission to NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions as NSUT, DTU, IGDTU, and more . It consists of Paper 1 (for B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2 (for B.Arch/B.Planning). The subjects covered are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

• JEE (Advanced) is for students who clear JEE (Main) with top ranks as up to 1.5 lakh – 2 lakh . It’s the gateway to IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology). This stage is more challenging and tests deep conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills and patience.

The exam is held annually, and students can attempt JEE (Main) twice a year (January and April). while JEE (Advanced) in may month. Both the exam are totally Computer based Exam and conducted across the nation at various centers in 7 to 8 days. 

NEET Overview

NEET is the sole medical entrance exam for undergraduate courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BVSc, and BHMS in India. It replaced exams like AIIMS and JIPMER to ensure a single, standardized test across the Nation.

• It covers Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).

• NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) once a year, usually 1st week Sunday in May.

The exam is pen-and-paper-based and requires students to have thorough knowledge of NCERT textbooks from Classes 11 and 12 for Biology as well as also the concept understanding specially in physics and chemistry.
